(As pertaining to the oldest species of feline "sabertooths")

WELL GOSH DANG FINALLY.

I started this a few days ago and worked on it half of the day (I have stream watchers to account to this) and then for the next couple of days worked by myself for several more hours c: Except for a break to grab lunch, I sat down and worked four straight today so I could finish it. And I'm happy with how it turned out ;u;

This is a direct scene from Tidefrost and Hopflight's battle, though when I started this I didn't know precisely how it'd connect. When their battle turned more aggressive, I realized with a jolt exactly how this fit in- when Tidefrost leaped at Hopflight with her head bowed, paws outstretched, and tail curled to defend her side, this was how I had drawn her days previously. (And then the sneaky monarch slipped around her side and hit her bad leg. Oops.)

I also added Sandwalker and Birdcatcher in because besides Lynxtail (who was elsewhere during this scene) they're the cats Tidefrost is closest to. The fantastic five. Except Tidefrost isn't so fantastic, she's more of a porcupine who is finally getting to live up to her metaphoric spirit animal.

This is the first drawing I have to scratch off my list- I've got a commission next, RtF stuff, and more Tidefrost submissions. eue If my Internet goes out again, as we have Time Warner Cable over setting up a new router, I'll probably do some more RtF sketchy-things.
