-Geo is the result of a short-lived fling between Professor Fossilis (Fossil for short) and Rover the Diamond Dog, Fossil only kept the foal in hopes of passing on her knowledge to her prodigy

-Fossil named her Geode after the fact that she was truly an ugly infant and an unwanted mistake, her hope was much like that of the insides of a geode in which she would prove to be a much more valuable asset in time

-Growing up she was very self conscious about her looks in addition to her mother's opinions of her appearance, but as an adult she has next to no interest in other ponies' views of herself

-Her relationship with her mother is very calloused, the two tend to show disdain for each other more often than not

-Fossil raised Geode to become an partner in her work, but she ended up growing into more of a competitor as the two butt heads frequently and never seem to agree on how to go about excavations

-Fossil reminds her on the daily of how Geode was the result of regretful decisions and too much alcohol

-Notably one of the only kind things Fossil has done for her daughter that Geode profoundly remembers is when she gave her her own collar when she was young, it's something she oddly holds significant value to

-Geode has never met her father, Rover, and has no plans to as he is the reason behind most of her problems in life

-Geo can stand quadrupedal or bipedal, as a child she mainly walked on all fours for the sake of her mother, but as an adult she normally walks on her hindlegs to spite her

-Her and Celestine have a rivalry in the jeweling business, the two constantly refer to one another as being mutts
