If you saw a piece in an exhibition and you had the chance to directly talk to the artist, would you get in contact with the gallery owner to express your opinion? It's like a ban on speaking.

It is not a ban on speaking. There are other ways to positively critique a piece of artwork, other than agreeing that it does not deserve a DD, especially since the artist is not the one that gave himself the DD.

I hate to say that, but when I see a wallpaper with the "wave and flow" style as a DD the 268th time, those aren't unique, those aren't taking much time to make, and those aren't as worthy as a DD, as this one.
But that's just me.

Time to create is a matter of skill in the program used, has nothing to do with concept, color use and execution.

Maybe you misunderstood me a bit. I stated, that your work DO look like it took more effort to make. The "wave and flow" style, I referred to, was a bunch of minimal wallpapers, which can be seen as a daily deviation, over and over again. So those aren't as worthy for a DD, as yours.

No, not just you. I wouldn't say that the style is wrong, I think the composition is a bit odd. Too many different patterns in the background and one bland shape in the foreground. It looks a bit unbalanced. And also the shadow on the foreground shape doesn't quite fit the lighting situation.
