Another silly little moment with Twilight Sparkle fishing for Flash Sentry in her private little "pond". Flash is hanging on for dear life as he's being pulled in by her magic, literally caught between his normal highschool life and the life as a pony. He's not entirely ready to say farewell to arms just yet, but Twilight is determined to get her Flash.
Both Sunset and Spike have arrived to put an end to the madness. Question is, whom are they going to help?
This is a little nod to my previous comic

Out of curiosity, is there any way a "Human in Equestria" story could happen in your head canon or do humans all get turned into ponies (or other mythical creatures) when they arrive?

Probably. I do have this idea that during Midnight Sparkle's little attack in Friendship Games, she opened portals left and right. And even though she was eventually defeated and cured by Sunset, some portals might still be open somewhere in the bushes around CHS.
If you remember that one scene featuring dog Spike chasing that jackalope (bunny with antlers) through those tiny portals made by Sci-Twi, he still remained a dog. Either those portals don't work on animals, or they are the only ones that'll allow humans to enter Equestria without being ponified.
Even Rarity and two girls nearly fell down a big one that opened above Ponyville, and they were still human while hanging on by the edge.

But do you think it's possible for a pony to learn how to play instruments that traditionally require fingers, such as the clarinet, piano, and synthesizer?

Hmmm... no offense, but how is it possible to create an airtight seal around a fingertip-sized tone hole if you don't have any fingers? And how is it possible to regulate how much pressure is applied to different keys one is pressing if you're playing the piano with hooves?

So would it take a unicorn or alicorn to play these instruments? We know an Earth pony can play the organ, but it works in a simpler manner than the piano because the piano is velocity sensitive and the organ uses an expression pedal. We know that Octavia either is an Earth pony or has a really long mane covering up a horn, but can she play other instruments?

By the way, how do ponies get their names? I know "Pinkamena Diane Pie" changed her name to "Pinkie Pie" sometime after getting her cutie mark, but Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle all had their names before they got theirs.

I'm not sure. You said "Her name's Octavia" as though she was named after her passion, but do all ponies have birth names and "talent names"? Perhaps Octavia's real name is Jane Smith or something?

It's a pun on "fyre-flye", who was apparently one of the original producers of the show (to whom I have no connection) and "Firebird", a suite by Igor Stravinsky.
My legal name is obviously much different, but it's a pseudonym I use to highlight a couple of things I am somewhat passionate about.

I was actually thinking the same thing: do ponies have birth names and change them, somewhat like getting a confirmation or christening name?

Well, my next question would be what is. One theory, which I learned about from TheBronyNotion, says Celestia has the power to foresee what talents the child will have and she names them instead, but there were ponies born before Celestia named "Chancellor Puddinghead", "Commander Hurricane", and "Princess Platinum".
A theory I came up with was the "Confirmation name" one, but again, we have only seen one confirmed example of it. Another one is that there were saints in their world whom they named their children after, but we don't know who they would be, as everypony likely has a unique name. Do you have any theories?

So back to the topic at hand: if I were to be "ponified", would there be a 100% guarantee that I would be able to perform my special talents somehow?
(And, unless I become an alicorn by default because Luna has a crush on me in my dreams or for some other strange reason I'm unaware of, what would determine the kind of pony I'd become and my cutie mark?)

So would there be anything to determine what kind of pony I'd become and my cutie mark? I'd have little use for wings thanks to commercial aviation and I'd have little use for the green thumb of Earth ponies, although whatever they have in their hooves could help me with certain instruments.
Hmmm... if an alicorn is a cross between a unicorn and a Pegasus, what's a cross between a unicorn and an Earth pony? And is such a thing even possible?
