It truly is a blue moon to see Sonic sad or crying. I really want to see him emoting like this more often, but Iβm pretty sure this wonβt happen anytime soon because SEGA doesnβt want their manly-man of a mascot to be seen as vulnerable, or something.
Your drawings of a sad Sonic really are amazing. They show a side to him that nobody really sees.

It sucks that SEGA won't allow Sonic to be like this. Vulnerable, emotional, real. Human. The Archie comics got this because, despite the fact that he still wasn't nearly as emotive as he is in this artwork, they still evolved his character and made him more than just the perfect superhero he is in most of the games. Why not have our heroes have moments like this? Not just for serious moments, but for laughs as well? Some of these are meant to be funny, like the tantrum part, and his cartoonishly large scream and wailing. That's funny! Why can't SEGA allow this?!
Honestly, with the IDW comics coming up soon, I hope Ian Flynn lets it happen. Not too much, for obvious reasons, but for when its needed. Don't overplay it. I hope he does it.
