Description
This is a commission piece that I had fun creating. Mainly because my kids use to watch the Gravity Falls cartoon.This is a 6x9 leather journal with handmade metal corners and custom tooling throughout. Symbols on the back and torn edges on the covers.
A maroon tassel and real vintage monocle hang from the top of the spine that is supported with hand-sewn headbands.
The inside text block is high quality drawing paper and beige textured end-sheets to finish it off.

I want to make a set of all three of these for my godson and goddaughter. TOOO COOL! I am going to make replicas of the pages from the show, but I am going to add in extra pages that are themed around the town we live in, so they can have some fun adventures when they get a little older.

Did you cut into the leather? How did you make the hand look so 3d?

It is a raised inlay. All of the pieces are adhered in the appropriate areas then sanded down to clean the edges.Β
Then the leather is glued on and tooled to reveal all the reliefs.
