My god, how did you make this? If you could share your material list and method I would really appreciate it; at the moment all I have is two pieces of 1.5 m thick mdf and two bolts and I can't tell you it just doesn't apply adequate pressure...

Thanks for the comment. If you go to a site called LeeValley.com, they have the best vices you can get to create your own Nipping Press. For an affordable price that is.
I used 3/4 in ply glued together for the bottom and top prees board. The sides are 2x8 birch.
The vice is the key. This particular vice pumps out so much force, I can crush my books if I am not careful.
