beautiful work! I really like the idea of using the food coloring gel I've been experimenting a lot lately in doing figure studies with coffee and conte crayon. it leads to some great stuff.

So awesome. I love how you got the textured effect without doing it digitally. The dissolve really gives the already beautiful figure drawing another level of interest. I can't tell did you dye before or after or both?

The paper was dyed first...everything else is done in neverending layers

amazing,
so you just put the paper in coffee and let it dry?

Not quite. Tape the paper down, brew some REALLY strong coffee...and drip it on in splashes. Let dry, repeat until you get the desired effect

if i had the cash to spare (which i don't) i would buy this... it is very, very good and the technique is also extremely interesting ( more or less a "why didn't i think of that" moment)
As i have never said before "all good art smells like caffeinated beverages"

Holy crap this is awesome! I have no words to express how this just caught my eye and now I can't stop appreciating how great the color of the skin, the popping (3-D) aspect is and that the figure still manages to show the flawed shapes of both the skeleton and the skin.
Amazing!!!!! @_@

Looks like that sad ugly jellyfish, if you consider the head as the nose.

This is beautiful work. I love the variety of mediums you used and the textures they create. The stance of the subject gives it a really emotional feel as well.
This definitely deserved the DD!

That is some sharp blending. This thing had me for three things... At first i thought it was a dog, then i thought it was a face, untill i notice the man.
