I'm assuming they're in an uncharted area, otherwise Tetra would be sleeping too.
Even at sea, little Finn & Shelli must stick to routine.
Tetra's keeping watch over her two children, while trying (and failing) not to doze off...

Link: Really. Because it looks like you're going to pass out any minute.

Link: After what happened yesterday with those Lizalfos, you should really get some shut-eye.
Tetra: Link, I can handle it.
Link: And if the map we found is correct, we should reach the Strait of Mists within a week. It's going to take a sailor with hands of tywurrh to navigate that place.

Link: Also, you have any idea how many ships went down in Nightmare Passage simply because the captain didn't keep a sharp eye out for-
Tetra: (whispers harshly so as not to wake the kids) Link, shove it!! Alright, alright, you can watch them. Happy?

Tetra probably wants to go watch Game of Thrones with Link. Just a thought. From what I've heard they might like it.

They're in uncharted area, any thing can happen. They could be ambushed by pirates (other than themselves), attacked by a giant squid, sail into a hurricane, or get caught in a whirlpool.
If something DOES happen, she wants to be right there to carry her children to safety.
So no, Tetra doesn't have to keep on eye on them all night, just until the crew is certain thier ship is in for (literally) smooth sailing. And until she can go to sleep knowing her little angels will still be in thier beds in the morning.

By that, do you mean will they still live on the ship by the time they each start a family?
Or do you mean will thier kids share the same disposition as them?

There's no sure way to tell.
In "Zelda: Spirit Tracks" , Nico (one of Tetra's crew members) had lived to be over 100 years old. And I'm guessing that the Princess Zelda in question was the grand-daughter of Tetra because Anjean (who shared the same hairdo as Tetra) claimed to be an old friend of hers.
So I guess that yes, thier grand-daughter Princess Zelda will be just like them. And the Spirit-tracks Link could be a reincarnate of the deceased Windwaker Link.
But that's just my theory.

The lighting here looks so natural, like it's coming from my window; especially on Tetra. Something about this picture just jumps alive. Every time I look at it I see Tetra yawning (and proceed to yawn myself) or hear the waves outside crashing, and the gulls calling softly. She seems a bit thoughtful here. It's a highly inspirational and quality piece. Excellent work overall, I'm looking forward to more pictures like this one.

I love the lighting you use in a lot of these drawings. It makes them seem so soft, which I think is exactly what a motherly picture should look like.
