Description The pictures are traditional, at least...

It's hard for me to imagine a Fable II hero acting any different from in the game. Some people are so attached to their hero, that they give them their own personality, manner of speech, etc.
...Then again, I have at least 6 heroes, all of which are very different, and I prefer fanart & fics that revolve around the other characters in the game (Hammer, Garth, Reaver, Theresa, etc.) rather than recapping the same old shit...

Enjoy!

Communicating through farting and dancing like his/her ancestor. The hero of oakvale would be proud.Β

I always write my Sparrow acting like he does in the game. He's capable of speech but he's kind of rude and likely to fart in your face if he doesn't like you.

In fandom
Sparrow is a flawless, beautiful woman.
In reality.
Sparrow is covered in scars, and is entirely pure save the Reaver quest...

I wrote a piece of a fanfic about the first trip to the wellspring. My character at the time was Joker, and I made him behave as such; always doing something for a laugh. I also made him look as silly as possible by making him as fat as possible and giving him a mullet, muttonchops, and the twisty mustache. I would've had him dress in drag, too, but there are some things I just can't bring myself to do.

I didn't get much farther than the line where Hammer talks about the warrior monks of the north, because I ran out of ideas. But the general idea I had was that the Hero's personality reflected their title.

Well my friend, you do make a good point. As people play through the life of each Sparrow, the overarching story is entirely the same.

However, a little creativity in the details can have some fun results. Take for example, Jonathan:
Jonathan was a child when he was scarred by death and pain. Did this lead him to a life of anger-filled revenge? No, he chose to drown the sorrows of his past in cheap wine and fatty foods. He cared little for his appearance, and even less for his growing reputation as a dirty, greasy, magic-using, drunk [Note: fighting is interesting when you keep drinking wine for health]. He ignored the world, what did he really care about the plight of the temples, the reconstruction of Westcliff, or even the Hobbes that were in some man’s cellar, taking the local children; all he wanted to do was exist in that alcohol-induced cloud that kept the memories of the pain a distant haze.
All that changed after being in the Spire. When he returned, he saw that the world was far worse for his neglect. The temple of Light was now in ruins, Hobbes and Bandits ruled the shores, and the people of old Bowerstone were poorer and sicker than even. Swearing off both alcohol and magic, he shaved his beard and his head; donning the robes of a monk, he took up a hammer to follow a path, not of vengeance, but one of redemption.

See? A little creativity with the details and you suddenly have a fairly readable story. Also, no Gary-stu here as it is his weaknesses that ultimately forge him into a more developed character…….Well, fairly more developed, I mean, compared to the examples you used in your comic.

I'm okay with giving your Sparrow a proper personality, as long as you don't end up turning him/her into a complete mary-sue/gary-stue XDD...Or you don't make him/her do or say things that would completely differ with their alignment [like making a totally Good/Pure Sparrow do something totally Evil/Corrupt]

I'm guilty of giving all of my heroes a completely different personality from the one they [don't] have in the game XDDUU...

I can only see Sparrow as acting different than in the game if I modeled them after an already made character, whether it be mine or belonging to another fanbase.
I mean, the Hero of Oakvale had more personality than Sparrow did, I think. XD
