Description
Love is a symbol of eternity. It wipes out all sense of time, destroying all memory of a beginning and all fear of an end.~Unknown
Tetra's fears of losing Link finally break her apart. Not only does his courageous attempts cause her to feel this way, but the 'sacred rule' from the lips of many people are aiming to separate them both. It may have been easier to do back then, when they were still kids, but now that they have been though so much together, it just seems... impossible.
I drew this because I'm feeling a bit depressed lately. I also drew this, because poor Tetra really takes a beating from the Zelda fanbase...
Well, enjoy!

Sacred rule, nothin'. I love Tetra and Link. Tetra is probably one of my more favored characters
Poor Tetra, I can see how it could wear her down.
I haven't played Spirit Tracks yet, but no matter what, Tetra is still an awesome kick butt character.

People say that she's ugly, and that she sucks, especially now that they compare her to Zelda in Spirit Tracks, and to Midna (whom I think might have been designed after Tetra...)

Ah, so since Zelda plays a more active role in the Spirit Tracks, those Link x Midna fans see her as a threat, right?

How do they see her as a threat? I don't believe they're even in the same timeline! Tetra and Zelda will ALWAYS be better than Midna in my opinion!

Thanks, now I'm crying because when you think of how the divorce between Tetra and Link would take place, the kids, Tetra, AND Link would be heartbroken, and if Link were to somehow die in battle!? But I love this piece though, the tears look very realistic. Wind Waker is my most favorite game ever so...

ad second that's just rude that people are bashing Tetra. And twice of rude if it's how you draw and imagine her for your story.

I've actually never encountered any Tetra bashing... In fact, I always see everyone trying to change Zelda into something she can't be, like a pirate. I mean, once was awesome (I love Tetra), but the generations after Tetra can't all be pirates because they have a kingdom to rule. The role of Zelda inevitably has to revert back to the more traditional princess (which is precisely what happens in Spirit Tracks)... But that doesn't mean Zelda can't rule with some of that personal flare.
This is beautiful - once again you capture such wonderful tenderness and emotion, and I'm very intrigued by the hinted back story...
I'm sorry you've been feeling depressed; I hope you're doing better now.

Yes, but alot of people dislike Tetra, because she's not as feminine as Zelda.
...And I agree with you on the pirate thing. I did create a family tree for Tetra/Zelda once, in which some of them were princesses, some were crusaders, and Tetra, her mother, and Shelli were at the peak of the 'Nautical-age'.
Heheheh, thank you very much!

Really? Huh, I usually see fans complaining about how Zelda is too much of a "damsel in distress" (which she is totally not). It's so stupid really, because fans should just appreciate all the variations of Zelda for who they are. Zelda's character in general is just butchered so often; I think younger fans or biased fans just don't try to understand her.
Ooh, your idea sounds interesting! I was actually quite surprised that Spirit Tracks takes place only 100 years after Phantom Hourglass... Oh well, Zelda has a bigger role as Link's partner, so I can't complain about the timeline.
You're welcome! ^^

Here here! Zelda does come in the so many variations, but the fans should learn to accept that, and get over it. But Tetra version will always have the special place in the heart <3 :3

I own Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and it is the first time that I've seen "Tetra", I like her character.
Though, I guess one would assume that Link and Zelda always end up together...?
I'm not really in the know how of the Zelda series.

BeagleTsuin In reply to LuisaRafidi [2009-12-11 02:58:29 +0000 UTC]
Akil wrote the "Sacred Rule"
It basically says that "No Hero, or Princess, should ever be wed and reproduce. They must stay with their own individual fates. For the sake of all future generations."
Aww, thanks! ~

Wait, Akil wrote the rule?
Well concidering that Link and Tetra are married and have two kids, it wouldn't do them any good now, huh?

"For the sake of all future generations"? But if they don't reproduce, how are new heroes going to be born? D:

GoldwarriorXD In reply to LuisaRafidi [2010-04-06 22:58:19 +0000 UTC]
Maybe that's the point. Maybe Akil doesn't want any new heroes to be born.
