Link missed the birth of his son Finn, but not for lack of trying!

Link was out at sea with Tetra's crew, when the gossip stone in his pocket began to stir. He was nervous, of course, knowing that many miles away, Tetra was in the late stages of pregnancy. Once he took out the stone, his worries were confirmed. Tetra's anxious voice rang out,
"Link? Link, You need to come home now! The baby's coming!"
As the rest of the crew became situated on the ship, they set sail to Outset Island.
But Link knew, that they weren't going to get there fast enough. So he took out the Wind Waker, and conducted the Ballad of Gales and their ship was whisked away by one of the mighty cyclones.
Once they had landed, Link caught a glimpse of his house. Then, he saw little Galiot outside, attempting to peer into one of the lit windows. Then, he took a deep breath, and dove overboard into the ocean, swimming his way to shore. As he stumbled onto the sand, he could hear the muffled cries, they drove him to burst into the door, and eventually, fall on his face. The cries became clearer as he stumbled to get back onto his feet.
Tetra gave him a weary, yet coy smile. In her arms, was a their precious newborn. "Don't worry..." Tetra said softly. "Our son is healthy..." She then looked up at Link as her smile grew, "...And his father is safe."

...A bit long, I know!
