This is one of those drawings that gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling. Her expression is really nice, and the face on the right cat is damn cute.
I like your style, the thick transparent lines is somethings that's new to me, and your colors have a moonlit quality to them.

Sure. I mean, what about girl x guy scenes? You don't seem to be complaining about those...
Besides, as I have observed, the male fans have quite the collection of pictures involving couples/pairings in their galleries, So I would really appreciate it if you'd lay off on the whole "All shippers are girls"-thing.

Actually, I have no gripes if it's Canonical (Aria x Sol or Millia x Zato or Baiken x Anji or Slayer x Sharon etc etc). And if the art is good enough to get past my "mental defenses" I will fave it....
As for the shippers are girls thing, I don't mean it that way, it's just my statistical luck that the artists are like that who I come across. (I actually haven't come across male shipping artists very often to tell the truth...if anything guys I've seen just fave that stuff, they don't actually 'draw' it).
Also, I'm a GG nerd, more so than most...so even if it's girl x girl or girl x guy...I am very VERY picky about what I fave (unless I fave by accident, which has happened).
If you draw something that's good enough to make me fave it, regardless of my opinion...you win the argument.

Well, for Anji's part...
Y'see...Anji calls Baiken "Aneesan" which is a polite variant of "Oneesan" or "Big Sister". Anji's a bit of a flirt with her, but he's also very protective of her, since she's somewhat emotionally unstable due to her past traumas. (If left unchecked, she might give in to the Japanese bloodrage inside her and go on a killing rampage as seen in her bad ending).
In his endings he either sticks with her or keeps an eye on her with the Zessen OutRage's powers.
As for Baiken's feelings...well, women are secretive, so I don't know how she feels, except that she "lets" him hang out with her even though he went to talk with That Man, so it's kinda complicated, since she hates That Man from the start.

I don't consider this an 'arguement' at all.
I'm the type of person who believes that love is love, regardless of gender. As far as shipping goes, there doesn't seem to be much freedom among the GG fans. Every time I see one simply side-step out of the line of canon someone's there to browbeat them instantly. To me it's sad, very sad.
I'm usually okay with most canon pairings in any series. Some things just inexplicably turn me off. Personally, I detest Millia+Zato being depicted together in an either intimate or romantic way. However, I do not deny the fact that they most likely have had that kind of relationship some time ago, because that's just how I am. It's not my 'thing', but if I have to address it, I will.
Like I said before, it's inexplicable, even to myself. Some things make me smile, and some things make me gag. It's not easy to determine either, it just happens.

Honestly I wasn't aware of the browbeating, so now I see where you're coming from and I'm sorry about that.
As for Venom x Zato....well...you'll have a bigger picture of what that really was once I'm done translating Night of Knives Drama CD.
A slight glimpse would be to say that S-Ko (the Ghost who haunts Zappa) says that Venom's hatred and jealousy are similar to her own. Not to mention the nightmares Venom has in AC+
As for Millia x Zato....haha, well you aren't too far off the mark to dislike it, as Zato forced most of it on to Millia...you'll find out more later.

I actually know a lot about the characters. What I l've most about GG is that they're not very hard to 'get' once you learn their stories...

Aww don't be like that. It's just that...whenever I come across good Guilty Gear fan artists (and I mean REALLY good, since most of the best who do draw GG tend to be girls), their subject matter tends to be about shipping or sex or some other twisted thing in their fantasies.
To me, as a GG fan, that feels like such a waste of talent, so I appreciate good clean simple sweet art with expression like this.
If I were as good as you, I'd be drawing some elaborate ornate scenes from the Crusades or something, but that's my taste and I respect yours if you don't.
If you want to judge me on that, understand my gripes with the fanbase, and understand my standards, since I don't draw pairings in the first place. I apologize if that's "rude" to you, but I just like "normal" GG artworks, that's all. I don't mean to criticize your other works, it just comes out that way due to what I prefer and my bias. Again, I'm sorry, I'm just selective, it's not a full judgment on your skill, as you are good either way.

Well, that does make me feel a little better about you.
I understand what it is to like an artist who draws things that make you feel uncomfortable, really I do.
Unfortunately 'Ornate' isn't really my style, I'm more into organic/natural shapes and certain kinds of details give me a headache...
My sister and I rely heavily on interactions between the characters, because it sort gives us a sense of unity within the series. (It's not ALL some romantic/sexual junk mind you)
But you see our problem is that we get all hyped up to draw something strong and cool and amazing, but then, reality strikes, and we sort of shrivel up into doodling angsty wierdo relationship-gone-wrong pictures. Of course it's not ALWAYS this way, I wish I had all the time in the world to draw and work on my art.

Here's a tip about ornate artwork: in order for them to be ornate...you have to be obsessed about them. Even I'm intimidated by my own art projects sometimes (you should see my Ab Fatum Arbor piece I did for Dissidia). Either way, that's just an example, you should draw in the style and means you are most comfortable, unless you are losing said comfort or in some kind of disturbing drawing rut where all you draw are boobs and lips and faces (I've been there). Then what you need is fresh ideas.
Amazing art takes patience, energy, research, obsession, and time. Sometimes you only have one or two of those factors available to you.
But not all art has to be detailed to be good. Simplicity is also good. It's all dependant on context and subject matter of the work and how it appeals to the artist's strengths.
In my case, my style is very sketchy, and I tend to get impatient, so then, my skill improves the more patience and research (and time) I put into the work...it all varies from person to person. You have needs to meet in your own art (but only you know what they are, only you can find them).
However, some people can draw simplistic details of a work and still produce a great work (I believe you're one of those people). So I'm looking forward to more of your work.

I'm an art student, so I learn many things at a rather quick pace. I'm still finding my own style here for GG (I've taken on plenty of styles if you'll take a look into my gallery)...

It makes me sad when people develop their art styles and give up on drawing stuff they're good at.
Let's just put it this way...Mort Walker is an Art University Professor who wrote several books, yet he still draws Beetle Bailey.
