...And now, here's Tetra's parents.They don't seem like much of a Happy Couple do they?
It's Tetra's parents, as opposed to Link's Shiny happy family > [link]
Except little Tetra isn't here, because I doubt that she ever met her father, and it would seem more likely that her mother isn't proud of her relationship with him anymore, thus, becoming less willing to introduce their daughter to him...
And yes, I designed her father, which was a bit tough to do, considering her mother is a descendant of Zelda, not him... I also tried to give him a bit of a hunched back and a more weathered look, but still looking a bit young...
Tetra's mother was the easiest part, since she was already designed in Wind Waker.

Nice picture ... but you seem to have this wierd idea that the dark skin tone is Tetras natural skin tone ... she just tanned. Part of being on a pirate ship is sun. Nice picture though

Oh... didnt see that one, I just thought with the near black dad, and the way both her kids seem to have the natural tan withought link growing more tan at all. It just seemed you were under the impression that tetra is naturaly dark like so many are... However i still enjoy your pictures and the trident comic.

My theory is that since the King of Red Lions was Tetra's predesecor. And generations later, the bloodline through his daughter soon faded as royalty and just became commoners among land. So Beagle, your Tetra's father and mother thing getting together is totally safe! ^.^' Sorry I Got so many damned theories, this is the best I have because if they'd have kept the bloodline Tetra would never be Zelda. The bloodline of royalty descendants and predesecors past has indeed faded into the commoners among land. I'm a GREAT geologist! And I'm only 13!

i like how this contrasts with Links family, especially how tetra's family have more pointed features while Links were more rounded. Nice job

To me her father looks a bit like Drizzt Do'Urden from the Forgotten Realms books...

I think it's interesting you decided to give him hylian ears too-- that's pretty cool, and it really adds to his depth as a character.

Zelda's father was the King of Hyrule. But he's been trapped down there since Hyrule flooded, his only way to get around in the world above was through the King of Red Lions.
...But I had assumed that Tetra's father wouldn't be a boat...
...In Wind Waker, Link and Tetra are the chosen ones in the bloodlines of the hero of time and the princess Zelda. The King had Tetra 'turned into' Zelda to prove this.
...And yeah, if you look around in Tetra's cabin, you'll see a portrait on the wall of Tetra's mother.

The hundreds of years later thing is what gets to me because the king was there during Hyrule's flooding, and turned into the King of Red Lions so he's definetly gotta be Tetra's mother's mother's father. Because Tetra's grandmother was the one who went to new land and gave birth to Tetra's mother, who died and never told Tetra that she was a princess. So Tetra is princess Zelda, just never revealed to be until the age of 13.

Ohhhh wait I think I get it now. Everything makes much more sense now. I never thought of it that way.. So, Tetra and Zelda are not the same people, but from the same blood line.
Did his daughter, Zelda, die then during the flood?
I guess the way they did the game, they sort of make you believe time was frozen and they were sent to the future, or something.

Yeah it took me a few years for me to finally get it, even after my brother tried to elaborate...
Zelda probably died after having a few descendants or somthing, it doesn't really reveal much about it, but I assume that the King, along with Hyrule Castle, was hidden from, not only the above world, but time itself, hence why he's still alive. I think the first Zelda (or OoT Zelda) had most likely died after the flood, and generations later, Link and Tetra were born.

I think they do look like Tetra. Her fathers beard resembles her hair. Both parents hair could mix into the yellow hair she has. Her mothers eyes and facialshap. Her fathers skincolour. yup

Aw, I feel bad that Tetra didn't get much of a family bond since her father doesn't seem like a father figure and her mother died. I wonder what happened to her father... that would make a great fanfiction, especially if he returns to Tetra. :3 I love Tetra's father's design! You're so creative. Now we know where Tetra gets her hair style from and her seriousness from.

You actually did a good job of making Tetra's skin color/personality like her fathers, and more of her looks her mothers
I probably think otherwise because I always thought that The King was Tetra's father. Thanks to some research, I now know he's not. But I just keep thinking he is because I stuck too it so long
Anyways, you did fine. And it came out quite well. It's funny how Link's family gets along so well and Tetra's doesn't always get along

Heheh, well, Tetra seems to have the same facial structure as her mom, so I decided to give her father very light hair & dark skin...
...I don't look alot like my parents either... although I might see a resemblence later on...
