Description
This piece is quite possibly the most personal piece I have ever created. It's a self portrait. It describes my battle over the past few months, a battle I am winning. With family issues doing my head in, and battling my own negativity, I have been reconstructing myself.

This is incredible. The way you did the hands and the teeth are fantastic. I love the quirkiness of it. I am happy to hear you are winning your own personal battle. Keep up the creativity.

Thanks man. Someone asked me how I can get such light strokes from a pen. I've grown to be able to use a pen much like a pencil, and without sounding too egotistical, I'm quite proud of that. I think I've found my signature style, but I like trying other styles too.

I've done some work with pen, if your interested how I do fine work.
The way I get fine lines is to curve the paper or create a hill and apply strokes to the crest. I find this prevents the harshness of the ink. I've gotten some extremely fine work in this manner.

Well I'm glad you're winning This is beautiful, The hands especially are very well done. I like the abnormal size of the head and the hands. I'm curious what mediums you used for the shading, pen and maybe pencil? Regardless, nice work especially with the personal meaning behind it.

Thank you
The head had to be large enough to fit in detail for the construction, and the hands had to grasp it like a headache Proportional hands wouldn't have worked so well.
It was drawn with ballpoint pen with extra shading and toning done with ink washes. The amount of ink washes I eventually ended up using kinda warped the paper a little but not too badly (I was drawing it in my visual diary)
Again thank you
