Shame about the gas mask...
Ever since I saw her I've hoped that at some point your opponent would say something like, "Dude, why do you have a salt shaker on your face? 0_o"
Now I never will... ._.
Also, the boobs and the aforementioned gas mask together totally gangbanged my brain...

She has evolved so much as a character since the beginning. It's a sign of a truly multidimensional story. If Joey is going to lose to anybody I really hope it is you.

What I like is how you don't stop acknowledging the characters from previous rounds. They don't just "disappear", they still have a part to play in the story.

Yup.
I'm trying to treat this like a shorty story (or small graphic novel as the case may be). So that when it's over, someone could read all Nev's parts and get a complete story out of them (granted, it'd help to read the entries and previous rounds of her opponents, too, but I'm trying to make it work without all that knowledge).
And in a short story, it's rare for a character to just show up, fight, and never be heard from or even mentioned again.

XD It's weird seeing Nev with her coat open or without it on. She seems naked with out it lol "Nev!?! Button that thing up! You aren't decent!"
It's sure going to be interesting to see how her and Sy fair against a living zombie, a demon, or...a taffy monster XD The next rounds are going to be So. Damn. Awesome.

I know. It's so odd right now XD I'm sure it'll become normal after the next round's been going for a while.
Joey represents one HELL of a threat to Nev in that any attack of his... ANY attack that gets through the skin will be the end of her. Very quickly.
Sy might be immune to the zombie virus if only cause it's blood transmitted and having acidic blood might make it hard for such a disease to work.
Taffy monster, on the other hand, is immune to Sy's acid (it doesn't work on sugar) and is too large for regular knifework to kill. But he's slow, so there will be time for Nev to get creative about it.
Gadrel... well damn. He's got pretty much all the powers a demon could ask for. Flight, energy beams, regeneration, super speed, super strength, soul sensing and stealing.... Shit o_o
(All that said, I know it just comes down to the artist, not to how powerful that characters actually are, but it's fun thinking about it from the logical standpoint.)

That's true it really depends on how the artist chooses to depict your and their own characters in the next round, though in that respect Joey may still be one of Nev's biggest threats.

Zombie Nev, oh god the possibilities. Although I'm not so sure Doodles would go that route seeing as it's a bit expected, we'll just have to see if you guys get matched up! (I'm hoping for a Bean/Doodles finale round :3 )

I like how her new look reveals more about her appearance at the same time as her personality is starting to come out.

Wait. Nev started out as a badass yet masked character who pulled off some pretty awesome moves, until her 'armor' was removed and it was revealed she was a woman who without the armor is more flexible and still kickass?

And Nev is identifiable as a girl while wearing her "usual" clothing for the first time since before this has begun. It's almost... I dunno. Something. Interesting for sure though.
Sy almost seems to be looking right at the comments on him, especially with that expression on his face. Admittedly, he usually has that expression, but still XD Anyways, you've really gotten good at drawing him too, he looks a touch more "natural" in your style than he used, so to speak.

Yeah. At first I think I was drawing him far too based on what features I knew he had, rather than adapting things like sunken cheeks and eye bags to my style.
And I was gonna organize the sheet differently and have most the lower stuff be under "equipment" and Sy looking at that title and being all "...what?" but changed me mind.

There's always a bit of a learning curve with drawing characters that aren't your own. I know I definitely saw it in a lot of my Cure entries, particularly with Cier.

well anyway good luck in round 4 or 5 depending on what you would classify the boss round
doesn't look like you'll have to hold back too much on injuring the other contestants

Actually I more of realized how unfitting an axe was as a close and personal stealth weapon. She's got to sick to the little knives.
I think of the boss fight as a massive interlude rather than a round, as I couldn't lose.

well the axe wasn't too bad
she was able to sneak up insomnia alright. plus it's got that trademark killer feeling to it
the only way i could see someone losing a boss round is not finishing on time

It's going to be interesting to see how Nev continues to evolve through the tournament. The one I feel sorry for is Sy, as he's most likely going to have the pawn role in this uneasy alliance.

Yaaay, updated Nev for the win!
At first, I couldn't possibly imagine Nev looking any cooler than her original design. Now, truth has smacked me upside the head: she JUST GOT COOLER.
What's even better, is that she actually has some company (even if it is a mentally unstable acid-handed creature with a tendency to break down at the worst of times). Whether this is for good or for ill is, as you said, uncertain, but for now... things are indeed looking up for both of them.

It's amazing how much an OC can evolve in a tournament, changing from what one had in mind for original ideas into someone possibly even better than what was originally in mind. Excellent work Bean, and I wish you luck in the upcoming rounds.
