HUGE FILE PLEASE FULLVIEWThis "project" is for the podcat owners, theres 30 or so people who have created thier own podcats but sadly I haven't seen them drawn much if not at all since their original picture creation.
This is my effort to get your creative juices going again! Each podcat is unique so give your OC some love :}
What I did here was make a template for Male, Female, Female cub and Male cub, left the green parts blank. (This is a good size comparison for all of them! Note how the males are smaller) The blacks and greys are all copic marker and prismacolor pencil colored. Once there I scanned them and customised them to each person's design adding scars and their own unique green.
I know it may seem kinda cheap to use a same pose template but it would have taken me months to do what I did here in 3 days.

My goodness. I can't believe I've been stalking, er, communicating with you all this time, and I failed to mention what incredible things podcats were! I think they are so neat. I love how they somehow look highly evolved and extremely primitive at the same time. I've secretly stalked your podcats for a long time now. *shifty eyes*
And as for this! I love how they're all different, even if the difference is something subtle like the shades of green in their eyes and on their stalks, or that some have additional markings or jewelery. It's pretty obvious that even though you have a very strict species limitation, you can still personalize your own awesome podcat. ^^ And the templates are great, btw. The muscles and expressions are gorgeous!
And I was simply wondering. What hurtles does one have to jump through to get their own podcat? I'd absolutely love to design one when I got a spare minute.

heheh aww thankyou so much :3 im a big fan of felines of all sorts so its no wonder I created a feline based species aswell as a canine one! 8D
No hurdles at all, podcats are free to design for yourself aslong as you stick to the guidelines and credit me for the species in any art that might happen from it. They aren't for RP purposes however since I have yet to flesh out their behavioural/movement habits yet.

I honestly gotta say, I was totally not expecting this at all when I came back from Akon [and from my birthday party! 8D .... 8l ... 8' Which was probably the most boring party ever of people sitting around and doing nothing most of the time, lmfao. xDD] But OMFG! IN ANY CASE! Like I said before, WOW! You really did a fantastic job with this Holly, I absolutely love the idea of doing adoptable-ish chibis in tradtional art style since most I've found on internet are often digital. x> The details of the fur is once again sent my jaw dropping to the floor and I absolutely love the variety of green and how each podcat has certain traits that makes them so different and unique from each other~! I absolutely love the poses; my favorite has got to be the male adult pose. It was so perfect because... oh gaaawd *lovingly stares at Cyril* I mean... come onnnn, it fits him so well. He's all 'Yeah bitches, I'm sexy~ ;D' xDD Oh Cyril, what am I going to do with you? >w<
I think you've done a wonderful wonderful work on everybody's podcats and I can actually see them all in one place! Very clever idea, Holly, to do this because... well... now I'm inspired to draw some moar Podcats! 8D I mean, Cyril needs some more lovings~ x>

I really am in love with how his broken tail-light turned out heheh on this sheet that is. I hope you continue to use him as a charrie. Theres nothing wrong with focusing on more humans in art but its also good to have some other subject matter off to the side ^^ Thanks!

These are all so cool, each one is unique in their own way, and you interpreted it wonderfully~
I like the shading on their pods, the range of tones in them are great~
The traditional/digital mix is a pretty effect too, as it helps make the fur look more...furry (Lawl) and the pods more smooth.

I can't take any credit for the variety of designs but I must say it actually took some skill and consideration to edit them properly seeing as their base and lineart was on one layer. No two podcats have the perfectly the same green ^^ Thanks! I wasn't sure if the mixed mediums would work but im happy with how it came out heheh.

hey my podcat is pretty damn standard too xD The thing is if you bring out the characters personality and individuality through your art you don't need a bunch of markings/accessories/scars to make your podcat unique. ^^ heheh I hope yah liked it though
