Scooby-Doo is a talking/mystery solving Great Dane belonging to Shaggy Rogers, and mascot of Mystery Inc. in the series of cartoons and movies named after him. As a kid, I loved Scooby-Doo (and I still watch episodes here and there; but, my favorite form of Scooby-Doo was the animated series "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo." Of all the Scooby-Doo cartoon series, "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo" had the best character traits, plots, chase scenes (arguably), animation (not counting the newer cartoons), and songs. I agree that Pup Named Scooby Doo is the best incarnation. It succeeds at being both a respectful reboot and a genuinely good (and funny) show in it's own right.
BTW, I have a theory about why Red Herring never shows up again after the gang grows up...

Puppy Scoby-Doo was just so cute!! =^.^= And also agreed about the animation and plots. Much more developed. Oh! And don't forget the Scooby Snacks 8DD
