Admit it, this was the best game series to ever grace the PlayStation/PlayStation One! And, for a very good reason. Spyro was the 'Banjo-Kazooie' of Sony. A free roam power-up abilities and collectible based game that had a huge sense of progression. I loved this series as a kid, and I still do today (mostly the first few games though)! If he's not in PlayStation All-Stars, a certain game company will be getting some angry fan-mail.Related content

Spyro was probably my favorite series for the PlayStation. Runner-ups were Gex and Digimon World.
I totally agree with you about it being the "Banjo-Kazooie" of Sony. Funny, Banjo-Kazooie is my all-time favorite Nintendo series.
I wouldn't get your hopes up for that game though. Activision owns Spyro now. But that's not necessarily a bad thing...Sure, many people argue that they killed Spyro with the Skylanders series, but I hardly consider it part of the Spyro series. Spyro is just another playable character. He in no way affects the story at all. I'm actually really fond of the series, despite the fact it's a blatant moneymaking scheme. Think of it this way: It's not Call of Duty.
