HA HA HA HA HA HA! That is good. I daresay that is TOO good! I'd like to imagine that one second later, Omega Red sucked that bird's lifeforce out...and still had that smile on his face.
Such a shame that OR and his stories are no longer canon.

They rebooted the universe in their current "Secret Wars" mini-series. Apparently, they're going to pick and choose who does (and doesn't) come back and the entire landscape of the world (politically and physically) will be completely different from the universe we've had since 1961. The Ultimate Universe is dead too.
Marvel even printed a tombstone for the 2 universes in that "Secret Wars" story...The original "SW" was so much better...

I didn't know what was going on until I went to IGN. They went over a lot of announcements Marvel made and none of it sounds good.
In the first issue, the 616 and Ultimate universes collided, killing both worlds and everyone in them. A few people survive in Reed Richards' space ship or are teleported away to what they're calling Battleworld (not MY Battleworld...), presumably to fight over whose universe survives or something. The last panel in the first issue, however, showed Doctor Doom's mask, so IGN got to thinking that maybe he survived the cataclysm.
If he did survive, then he's the best and ONLY hope we have of saving some of the old world. I've been meaning to keep my ear out for reviews of the series to see how he's doing (I can't condone buying the comic that killed my universe just yet), but I've been forgetting to. I'll have to see how this event goes and listen out for some of the new universe's stories to see if I can stomach any of this, or turn my back on the publisher.

Aw, man. This is GREAT, haha. Especially since Omega Red was always my favorite X-Men villain when I was a kid. If you did a storybook about Omega Red, hell, I'd buy it. lol
