Description WIP Design alternatives of a park, related to an urban square @ PROMiM 11.2011 ...

The first approach is trying to make hardscape continuity and sees the area as an irregular part of the square;
The third approach sees the area as a park rather then a part of the square;
The second one is something in between first and third...

AutoCAD 2012 x64
PS CS4 Ext (UC Logic Lapazz)

The evolt alternative can be found @ fav.me/d6jcuij

I personally prefer the third one. I like shade.

Love it. Personally, my preference would be the third approach. But then, I love trees. And Greenspace. Over here, hardscape looks great to begin with but quickly weathers down to dull muted greys and muddy colours whereas planted areas and trees continue to add character to an area for years to come...

Thnx for the motivating comments. Probably the final design will be based on the 2nd alternative. You can find a pre-viz of it here - [link] I believe that it's something between the third and the second one, based on the same domnant zigzag line in a sharpened way...

These are all fabulous designs. I hope it gets built.

P.S. I would be very interested to see some site photos of previous projects you have worked on that got built...

Thank you very much for the motivating comment... This project has a long way to go, probably the secon alternative (here: [link] )will ve choosen. If it gets built, be sure that I will post the photos... It's my hometown so I can take some photos myself

On the other hand, most of the previous projects I've uploaded here are for competitions or haven't got built (yet). They are all around the Turkey, and it's usually hard to go to the site after design process on scheduled basis. But it's in my mind too to share the photos as soon as I can collect some.

I'm going to try the same thing for others' projects at LandArch-UrbanDesign group [link] (all the help and contribution is appreciated)

Thanks again...
