I've been doing really well avoiding spoilers this season, save for some synopsizes, and this episode went so far left field from where I was expecting it ended up in an entirely different sport and it was awesome!Related content

I love how they left a bit of the fang in Fluttershy.. We may see a bit of it in her until the series ends which hopefully is NEVER!!

Well congratulations, Twilight! You just created vampirism and cursed one of your best friends to be the first of its kind.
Actually, I think with this, Fluttershy just turned into one pretty powerful character.
I would even dare to say that with her stare, her manipulation and her animal communicating abilities, the fact that she is now a vampire makes her the second strongest in the group, next to Twilight.

More like twilight created Fluttershy to be the first and last of her kind but don't forget Flutterbat is clearly a fast and strong flyer to boot.. but the real question is how much of FlutterbatΒ left in her?.. Is a un-natural hunger for apples to forever haunt her? So many questions

Everything is still theory so far, but I would like to imagine that she acts next to normal, up to completely normal in every day situations. What this changes though might be that she can turn into a bat at will now. And seing how this transformation is permanent, there might also be a possibility that Fluttershy now has to take responsibility in being the mother of all future genererations of vampire ponies.
Seing that this form of vampirism is based on fruit juice drinking bats and not blood sucking bats, I can easily see this new species being accepted by pony society quickly.
Why I come up with the idea that she wont stay the last of her kind? Well, if she can reproduce via a bite is debateable. But I am pretty convinced that she, too, dreams of having children one day. If she were to get pregnant, her foals would carry many of her characteristics, which might result into the first baby batponies being born.

I've been thinking; she looks a lot like Luna's personal guard. Perhaps they were made vampires to better suit the needs of the Princess of the Night. Luna also specializes in a lot of magic tied to the vampire mythos; transforming into mist, entering dreams, controlling dangerous animals. To top it off, she grew a nasty set of teeth when she became NMM.

Yeah but just because there were two ponies with bat wings pulling her cart through the night sky at nightmare night is not reason enough for me to jump the gun and take as evidence that vampire ponies or bat ponies existed before fluttershy. Who knows, it could just have been a costume.
I means cmon. We havent seen a single bat pony eversince. Not even in the nightly episodes and even during mass festivities.
But I can see that those two theories are bound to clash sooner or later. I would not be surprised if Twilight ends up turning towards Princess Luna for advise on how to handle Fluttershy's vampirism.
