I like the layering that is going on in this piece. It gives the piece depth. I think getting thicker with the wax is not a bad thing.

I freaking love your textures. I am really interested to experiment with similar media. Do you scratch into the wax for the white lines on the face?

Yep its wax, this one is getting thicker though, i painted the base coat on,
then added colour.. then added oil paints lastely.. and rubbed off ,and more oils, that way i just figured out i can get black lines too by rubbing the oil into the carved lines.
!!
you should get into it, layering is great im learning all sorts of new stuff.

I've actually really liked all work for a while. The textures and the wolf/raccoon faces you make. A very earthy colored and theme feel to your work. Your reds are always really rich. I have been wanting to experiment with something new, and am trying to get back into painting with oils. I'm definitely going to look into it. Maybe I'll even show you
Lastly I really like your home made approach. From one earthling to another, I appreciate you being environmentally conscious.
