Damn slick. For some reason I love it when artists put a lot of detail in areas where it's not so important (like the side of the canvas).

again, working with the edges is really cool. Me notices a painted over blowhole thinger, no room for smoke on the canvas? And i just gotta say now that borism said it looks like one is riding a bike i cant get that mental image out of my head

I love that you used the edges, it gets the viewer thinking. I see a lot of canvases -- I go to an arts school -- but mostly the edges are blank, or spattered with overenthusaistic brushstrokes. I don't think I've ever seen them actually used, and certainly not as deftly as you did. And the composition really does create a sort of pause; you almost wait to see more, as though they're going to turn around. It gives an anxious tone to the piece. I really like this, great work as always.
