Description
I had plans to draw something else, but he just stuck in my mind and bothered me until I drew him off.And www.deviantart.com/wickedowl51… recently wrote that we should do what is in our heart.
I thought, even if it's not pretty and joyful.
Actually, the true "portrait" of the plague would be realistic face of suffering patient or tired doctor/nurse/paramedic.
All of it is a failure - when it took place in China, for many of us it was like "poor people, but hopefully it's far away".
I once thought - they are alone there with the plague, but it may be a time when a disaster'll come upon us and we will be alone with it too.
And people still were travelling, going for vacations, the borders weren't closed because it would cause financial loss.
So now it is as it is.
And still there are photos of crowds of people in the public places or some miserable scenes in the supermarkets.
Our ancestors were living in fear about their lives - the drought, the long, cold winter, even the minor wound could be fatal if infected.
For last decades people of developed countries lived in welfare when compared to the past and many poor countries.
and I think we lose something, too often paying attention to only superficial things.
Yesterday we exchanged comments with Gege16
www.deviantart.com/gege16/
and she wrote this in a way that I couldn't do better, so I let myself to quote her:
"Everything -material stuff, even relationships with other people and life itself-had turn too disposable during the latest years (which is too sad for me)...this maybe is going to make people start to reconsider that thought and start to be glad of having their families alive, helping people in need, enjoying the little things of life and aiming for bigger personal projects, stop thinking that happines=overconsumerism and being more conscious about our treatment towards Earth...because people usually think that some things are granted and then just when they lose them they start to reconsider their real value... this has not to be our reality for forever, but the only whose can change this are ourselves..."
Drawn with markers.

Powerful image Beatrycze
I think we in England are going to be ordered to stay indoors today or tomorrow as so many people have been ignoring the advice of the experts.
At the weekend there were thousands of people outside in parks and on beaches and gathering in huge numbers in places.
They have been told not to do this but have ignored it so I think it will become law very soon that you stay at home.
As for the supermarkets.............they are empty of all basic products. The whole world seems to have run out of toilet roll more than any other thing. It is bizarre.
I agree with what you say and what your friend said.

Thank you for comment and a fav!
This toilet paper obsession is strange for me. I understand - food, but I wouldn't think of toilet paper as a necessary thing during the plague.
It's terrible that so many people in the western countries tend to ignore the threat, while they see how many death it has caused in Italy.
The Chinese people obeyed and stayed in isolation and this enabled to limit the spread of the virus.
But in our countries, where people do not care for the sake of society and think that they are wiser than all the people who tried to advice, it spreads like a fire on the dry grass
My mother saw crowds of people on the boulevards in Cracow as if that were vacation not an emergent, difficult situation.

Wow This is scarily beautiful... beautiful due its artistical value and how it can generate a great impact on the viewer despite the minimalism, the colors do that work great.Scary due its really heavy meaning. I feel really flattered of how our conversation about all the current mess on our world ended inspiring you for creating art and also how you quoted my comment
, is maybe the first time it happens to me, at leats on this site.
Something kinda "weird" is that today i was thinking about how the Black Plague impacted on art and the society itself back then and how the corona plague is going to impact on those things now. As all of us know how the Middle Ages plague used to be drawn (i think it inspired our common image of "death" as skeletons+a black attire being who is seeking for everyone) so i was wondering how the COVID-19 would be methaphorical represented on drawings, i found some anime versions on dA like the "corona chan" but this one is pretty similar to how i imagined it. Call it coincidence or destiny or whatever you want...

Thank you very much for all your words and faving And also for the collecting of my shot!
I'm happy that you liked that I quoted you and I hope - maybe the message reaches some more people.
Yeah, I kind have problems with drawing/painting something deliberately ugly.
Maybe we have, hmm, how can I put it, similar sensitivity?
by the way - the strangest thing of that kind happened to me, when I drew my series of Polish vocalists and one of them I was drawing one night to get to know the day after that this night she died.
Someone wrote the "she believed in religion of flowers and sun" and on my drawing it looks like she was turning back to look at the viewer and smile at him, while the background was sunflower.
I didn't know that she was so seriously ill. The reference for drawing I chose just cause I thought that it would look good, not that I would like to symbolize something (like she turning back to say farewell in her way to light or something)
I am not kind of a person who is about spiritual and paranormal and so on, rather materialistic in a philosophical meaning of this term, but this was... strange.
