Long ago I made a sketch inspired by real lizard which, when threatened, roll itself like that.If you're interested to see a photo of such lizard:

I was not the only one who drew this animal
While I was drawing, I was planning it to be a cover for a net magazine. Anyway, I didn't finished it and I lost the sketch. Fortunately, I scanned it before, so now I printed it and colored with crayons and markers.

Yeah, it's alike and I added these strange colors in purpose to make him more "Fantasy creature". Real lizard is brown.
