Description
Hanny came 1500 kms to visit, and help with the painting of the new Art Gallery. She threw a painters drop sheet down the spiral stairs, and I watched as it flowed - almost alive - downward. Hanny then walked down the stairs, and the shot was obvious. (I swapped the Drop Sheet for some more subtle fabric...)

"Oh that this too too solid flesh would melt...."
The contrast of textures (as well as colors) is nice. I'm curious about the pattern on the wall and what that would look like at a higher resolution, but I also like the vagueness of the background. The shadows speak to violent despair while the tears seem to promise a resolution. Alas.
The fogginess works very well on the railing. That gleam on the handrail is noticeable. Is that hope? Her hand clutching the rail suggests frailty, as if were she to stand, she would need to support herself. Yet it seems like a firm grip. Who knew handrails were so ambivalent?
Marvelous image.

The wall is hand ragged blue on white paint - scrunched rag... blotched and daubed to give an overall pattern-like effect.
I did use a fog machine during the shoot; many of the trial shots are just so low in contrast that they are either very mysterious or totally unusable. Although most would add fog in Photoshop, I wanted to create the ambiance for the model also.
The handrails and the steps still hadn't been painted at that stage and as they were curved, they were bound to pick up a sheen - regardless of the angle.
I was fortunate enough to have worked with that model on many occasions - sadly, we will not work together again.
'The Tears that Fall' are mine. The image is a projection of my own feelings.

This is definitely one of my favourites from your gallery, the contrast of the colours is not too obvious, but well defined.

Thank you for looking, choosing and commenting.
The low contrast was because I used a fog machine - this was largely cleared, but some of the shots are very mysterious.
