Okay...I feel like...I need to explain this...
You see...it didnt START OUT...like a fabio shitty romance paperback cover...but...well you can kinda see where it has ended up...
I am simultaneously disappointed AF in myself for how it comes off, and proud AF for actually drawing a background and doing it...
anytime there is a back ground...I am beaming because i just fuckin hate em.
I have been working on shading and coloring this thing for a god damned week and i was like soft shade isnt working just default...but I do hope you enjoy any how.
We soon appraoch the bit of comic where Mesa meets Cullen and...well...its not exactly this in the begining BUT but...foreshadow =w= spoilers...w/e

I really like the stone and the sword ornament. The flowers are also pretty. It's interesting to see Mesa with different hairstyles as well. Their hands (Cullen's in particular) are oddly large though.

I plan to have her change hair styles in the comic, as people usually do. When you have a lot of hair. the more you can do wiv it!

That's true! But there's at least three, it seems (that I know of) and I often only see two major hairstyles, so it's just interesting.

okay I know its painfully obvious at this point but, I do not think very hard about things as I am doing them.
I CAN be deep but when im relaxing its whatever, thinking deep often leads me to my depressive state so i dont do it on the regular.
For this i dre the characters and was like ah sexy pic. but once they were done and colored i felt bland like it needed the bg. so I sketched and added one. Not until I added the sunset which is actually relatively late was my brain like "...wait....*sigh* youre fucking trash." but it was too far gone and the flowers were lined and colored so I just sucked it up.
XD I deserve everything i get. I am a very in the moment, roll with the punches, improvisational type, and it leads me to interesting places.
but because of this I also lack in a lot of organization and structure. so I realize its a give and take but having tried the other hand I realize my life is happier just...taking things as they come with maaaaybe alittle foresight (Prob cause merle tbh)

Well, I think it worked out in this instance, at least. I imagine it might lead you to places maybe harder to reach when one DOES think something through deeply. Might give trouble with cohesiveness, but those little surprises can really work out.

The fact that it looks like one of those old cheesy romance novels, makes me love it so much (/^w^)/ (also since it has Cullen in it makes even more special ;D)
It just adds something to it... Idk why XD
Maybe because I feel like it would be a cover for one of Varric's books maybe? XD

I think it looks fantastic! I love 'em both, Cullen looks glorious in just his furry cloak and pants.. and sword of course >w< and Mesa is adorable and gorgeous! I love her hair! The background looks so good, I love all the flowers and the glimpse of mountains and sky in the background. The colors are very good as well
And don't be ashamed that it echoes a romance novel cover. I mean, regardless of the contents of those novels, why would anyone argue with some shirtless manliness and lovely ladiness?
