It is, I have a tendency to want to make order in the chaos instead of letting chaos be chaos. I need to lighten up, break free from my orderly obsession.

Ah, she has deactivated her account. That's a shame. She always made very delicate Apo fractals often on a pale ground.

I did not know her. I often forget that you can put a different background or make Translucent and then add one in post work. It really changes the overall effect.

When I make them I always use the transparency function .png, then in Photoshop I add either a background colour or sometimes something else to make a manip.
It also allows duplicating the original and you get richer colours and texture.
Often with simple fractals I duplicate and transform the bottom one in Filter Forge. It shows through under the top layer.
Since I've never been good with Apo I tended to make a lot of manips.
I never managed to handle all the tools and used scripts or people's params, like those of ~eReSaW which are really lovely... but the slow render...
That's why I'm so pleased with UF although I love Apo style flames.

Thank you Carl! Apo. is such a challenging program, it is fun but so tweaky. I just need to do something different now and then.
