Originally it was keeping him alive after he pulled off his first Crueshnic form he became a natural one the nanobots refresh the false blood making him weak to sun and moonlight .the people who did that to him will catch then have him chained by his collar his options are going to be break the collar and die or let them do it to someone else with his bite o3o
so half starved and dumb he tries to kill himself knowing he can't go through it again and then when he feels stronger after passing out due to the pain of the collar being removed from his spine his hunger will get the better of him being as the collar suppressed most of his blood lust. o3o so any vampire is toast within 40 miles of him
