A bit of constructive criticism: I realize you are probably modifying some base templates for this comic, but I think a few minor changes would go a long way toward making Luna more freaked out in the latter half of the comic. All of these changes are show-consistent:
1. Leave out Luna's upper eyelid and let her 'eyeliner' follow the upper contour of the eye socket. This makes her eyes look wider and more afraid/shocked
2. Make her ear fold backwards. Real ponies (and also the show's ponies) do this in times of stress, as do many animals.
3. For added stress, you can add this lower eye-bag line thing (it's a very subtle line on the show). That all depends on the amount of stress that you want to convey.
4. Try modifying the mouth's expression in the 2nd-last panel so that it doesn't look too similar to the one before it.
Mix-and-match changes as you wish to suit whatever it is you want to convey.
Yes, I have done MLP vectors and realize they can be a pain in the butt, but these changes aren't redo-the-entire-base kind of changes. Just a tweak here and there to make the expressions more effective.
