Well, look a little more closely. I love Sunset to death, but I still can't think of a good way to defend the fact that her plan required tampering with Cerberus and the release of Tirek. That endangered people. I happen to believe that ends do not automatically justify any means. Even if it was done with "good" intentions, it was not the right thing to do.

But her methods ended with every foe in Equestria defeated and Fake Celestia exposed. I think it's hard to argue that in the end she wasn't 100% in the right.
Then again, I do believe that the ends justify the means (Up to a point, I mean)

I suppose that's where we'd differ on this issue. I don't believe in sacrificing one's conscience for "the greater good." I'm all for deposing an ineffective leader, but it would have been much better to do it without endangering innocent lives.

And I believe that sometimes a sacrifice must be made in order to prevent many more deaths. I'm not saying that I like doing bad things to achieve a greater good, I'm just saying that sometimes there's just no other option.
