It was like living in one of those neglected homes in SimCity where you'd live without energy or water for days.

EVEN THE RESIDENTIAL AREAS GOT HIGHWAYS Aside from many accidents our road maitenance was surprisingly cheap!
Imagine pulling out of the driveway only to be met with F-Zero racers streaming behind you IT WAS GLORIOUS CHAOS!

I'm guessing it's mostly because it couldn't fill 20 minutes; a lot of my alternate endings assume the show can end in 5 minutes and nobody will notice or be disappointed.

Once upon a time a thunderstorm was scheduled. This would be no ordinary storm, as the Pegasi had already skipped a few days, so they had to make up for it. As such the duty of clearing the local area of debris became top priority. Somepony, however, thought it would be better to re-attach fallen branches to their previous locations. How, you may ask, would a pony be capable of fitting a dead branch back where it once hung without any support aside from a mere ribbon? The answer is quite simple: It's magic!

Ah, SimCity 4. Those were good times. Especially when you just unleash chaos upon the unsuspecting populace in God mode with alien attacks and volcanos in the middle of town. Good times indeed.

It is an alternate universe's ending for S3:E5, but it includes major spoilers for the later season finales and is seen in retrospect as an example of how far the story team thought ahead.
This ending when first presented was seen as something of immense confusion, but it was initially speculated that it was the aftermath of Zecora's doorstop breaking into pieces and sending out wild, untamed, and chaotic magic into the world. Later on with more revelations it became clear that not only was the show itself anachronic, but each and every scene in the show took place in a different time entirely, very few actually happening sequentially as shown. While there were early hints at this such as the time skip from newborns to infants for the cake babies, this was the start down the path of a mysterious show with a puzzling plot that requires immense thought, investigation, and at least one Alternate Reality Game's fanfiction to truly grasp.
