Erk, I did not plan this through at all. I wanted a comic strip without words but couldn't find something that implies "a massive war happened at around panel 7 where Sunset Shimmer steps in and helps fight" but ended up implying that Sunset fought Celestia.

At panel 7, I thought Twilight went evil given that she's absent from that point onward.

Panel #8 is definitely missing something to explain or hint at why Twilight isn't there. For Sunset, we know the mirror refers to EqG but for Twilight, there is no indication of anything.
Since Sunset's story is that she got fed up with Celestia and decided to leave, I'm thinking it would be ironic if Celestia sent Twilight away in #8 and imply Twilight was behind whatever happened.
An extra panel between #8 and #9 to explain how Sunset got there would be nice but that would break the 4-4-4 theme you seemed to be aiming for.

As a Sunset Shimmer fan I quite enjoyed this
Although I'm kinda irked by that last panel. To me, at least, I imagine that Sunset would refuse to become an alicorn after making up with Celestia. Something along the lines that she doesn't want power anymore, she's just happy to have her teacher back.Β

Makes you think (idk if the movie is part of the storyline) Β Sunset Shimmers seems to be what Twilight was originally going to be but of desire for power got in the way and when Twilight came along Celestia took a new student under her wing.

I totally got the idea that Twilight was the one that fought Celestia and Sunset protected Celestia from her (which explains why twilight dissapears from celestias side when the war happens).

Actually, what I got from this is that Twilight turned evil, Sunset fought along side Celestia and saved her, hurting herself in the process. And Sunset's reward was becoming an Alicorn and pretty much taking Twilight's place... note to self use that as a possible fanfic in the future.
