Description This the best drawing of Annabelle reacting to her nose growing yet. The expression on her face is adorable. For this one I took like inspiration from for drawing the limbs andΒ  for the clogs, though think I made them a little too long. But overall this turned out pretty good. Also, here's the original sketch-

Uh-oh, poor Annabelle.

As the Blue Fairy once said, "A lie keeps growing and growing, until it is plain as the nose on your face."

Yup. That's what Pinocchio and Jiminy tell her in chapter 8. They never forget those words.

Here's how I overcame those annoying shoes - besides referencing actual clogs I also used various animation frames from one of the German marionettes during the "Got no strings" segment.Β  She moves around so much that you're able to get a 3 dimensional look at the clogs as an animated 2D object.

One error we both made is the back of the clogs have a much lower heel insert.

I thank you for referencing my work.Β  ^__^Β  Definitely drawing her again in the near future

Those puppets were Dutch, French, and Russian.

Then Dutch Marionette.Β  Thank you, sir.Β  I also thought the second ones were Spanish.Β  Then again Pinocchio's setting does seem to do a mixture of both Italian and German.. which I think is really cool and they should do things like that more.Β  Like how they did Tokyo/San Francisco in Big Hero 6

Never saw it. The time line is not mentioned but the original story was published in 1883 which when I assume the book and disney film takes place so 15 years later my story is set in 1898.

Pinocchio's village is kinda remote from the rest of the world. I doubt that village would ever change.

It was based on "Liar, liar, pants on fire"
I apologize if that was too rude and not funny.

I think it is cute by how Annabelle touches her nose.

It wasn't easy to get that pose and the placement of the arms.
