I don't think any of us know what Sims is doing half the time.
Once, I had this family of two (a young adult and a teenager) and I wanted them to get together but I had to make the teenager older first.
(many sims days later)
Later when they had a baby together the girl started doing something really weird. Whenever she didn't have the baby in her arms she would randomly lift her arm as if she were carrying it, ALSO, when she was asleep in bed, all of a sudden she would be standing...through the bed...doing the arm thing...AND SOMEHOW SHE WAS STILL ASLEEP! It was creepy.
