Q: How did you do all these styles?!?! ARE YOU AN ART WIZARD/GOD? (actual question it seems)
A: Time and patience!! LOTS OF IT! (｡´∀｀)ﾉ;; I may have pumped these out in two days, but there was a lot of staring holes into references haha. It'd probably take a whole lot more effort to do entire drawings in these respective styles.

I turned 24 years old (yay??) on the 19th and I didn't quite make the mark to post this on that day.... fashionably late is good too
;;;I found this meme floating around on tumblr via CrayonKat
(here's the prompt image since most people just upload it to tumblr themselves) and decided I wanted to do a handful of them on behalf of my birthday.I shamelessly put logos on ALL OF THEM so hopefully it'll help everyone remember/recognize the series and I won't get a billion "what series is that" comments because YA CAN CONVENIENTLY GOOGLE IT THIS WAY WAHOO. The only one totally in Japanese is Revolutionary Girl Utena.
My personal favorites to draw are Sailor Moon, Gorillaz, Gravity Falls (background porn.) But I had so much fun doing all of them it's honestly really hard to pick favorites! Drawing my own style after this was actually really hard I don't know why I didn't do it first omg. (Not to mention my style fluctuates too help)
For the heck of it, have some fun headcanons I thought of as I worked on these:
~ As a senshi I'm probably some kind of star; My monster high name is probably like Beecca Hively or something; Heck yes I am going ghost.
~ I haven't seen Utena yet (YET) so I can't say anything about that I just stole Utena's outfit
;;; In One Piece I ate the Hoshi Hoshi no Mi and have crazy supernova/speedy star powers and I guess I am a clown/entertainer. ~ I would be the guardian of Water in W.I.T.C.H. and in Adventure Time I'm a 4inch tall pixie princess and a total mischievous jerk and will send u on arduous-as-shit quests for my amusement.
~ My young justice superpower would ALSO be star related but I'm not sure what my puella wish would be still (I'll never be able to settle on one since it costs my soul u know omg sorryyyy)
~ As a witch in SSR my name is mint, I am DEFINITELY a witch in the Kiki's Delivery Service Ghibli universe, and I'm Mew Green Apple and some endangered type of bee DNA.
Lots of magical girl type things. Lots of star based powers. THERE YOU GO.

I'd love to hear them! I found the backstory enchanting and the art style is really pretty, so it influenced a lot of my work when I was in middle school. I hear the story gets bad later down the line but I'll always have a soft spot for it because it influenced me growing up

Okay, first of all, Did you use references? Second, Did you have courses about drawing? 3rd How did you capture the looks of the characters, the shades, the faces (even with a reference, these are damn hard to draw)
I'd be grateful if you answered me, I must know how the heck this is possible

1 - It was semi referenced as I generated the poses myself based on what I observed, for the most part. If I found a pose in-style that was similar to what I was drawing, I'd use that as my guide!
2 - I have not taken any formal classes myself outside of high school drawing electives, but I do have a lot of second-hand guidance and tutoring by my partner who took college courses, specifically in understanding anatomy/gesture which I find important to this style-matching process.
3 - observation, research, and studying was necessary to match the style- styles are a grab bag of symbols used to represent a person or thing- from line weight to shapes to angles to coloring. there's a little more soul to it than that, but those are the parts that make the foundation.

Hmmm, I didn't alter any photos of myself or anything... I stylized how I am in real life and made it fit the other art styles by choosing major features, such as my hair, mouth/teeth, eyes, hands, ears/piercings... etc. I just take all of my features and cartoonify them, comparing them to the show's artwork for a suitable match. I hope that helps a little
