Description
UF4.This is a happy accident.... This was supposed to be another tonal grayscale homework image for the UF Artistry class but when I was playing with the gradient for the spheres I accidentally moved a color point into the red and I loved how it "popped" against the grayscale.

You're so welcome! I loved it the moment I saw it!! Out of curiosity, will I learn how to do backgrounds like that from the classes that Janet Parke offers in her classes?

This particular texture formula was not discussed in class however you will learn about some others that are nice for backgrounds such as Gaussian Integer. I've noted you with additional info.

A VERY happy accident! The reds really complement the greys and blacks with the metallic look!

Woah, this is very cool. It looks like a sword, or a chain. "Happy accident," indeed.

I really like the silver colouring and the light texturing. I think the red could use a little texture too, but i do like the contrast it creates

Thanks...I rendered one with texture on the red but I liked this better for the smooth red against the textured everthing.

I love the red against the greyscale too. I think it would look even better if the spheres were more defined and didn't have the darker "disk" around them. That is just my opinion, though.

You're right - the red is really eyecatching against the greyscale - great effect.
