I rather like the 3d and depth effect on this one... those deep black spaces really work out great. Well done

I love how this appears to be a series of planes, one behind the other, all lit from a hidden 'outside'

Thanks...the General Tent Julia gives this really cool depth.

Ah yes...this gave me fits...I almost thought I was doing things wrong but it seemed to work out.

Oh, I'm still having fits! I have had to sleep on several assignments. I'm sleeping on the current one now. I read her lessons and then let them ferment for several days. It has made me late a few times. I hope I get this week's assignment done tomorrow, since it's the "end of the semester". I would like to emulate some of the work I'm seeing, but my love for bright, spectral colors always gets in the way. I'll have to fix that to do what I want, and I won't stop with the bright colors, but it has made some of my masks rather subtle to say the least. I just turned in lesson 5 yesterday, and Janet hasn't commented on it yet. I'm not at all certain about it.

I know what you mean...I've been working on one design for 2 days now and I'm still not satified. Everytime I turn in an assignment I'm still unsure if I did it correctly.

Well, I didn't get some of the quite right and had to redo. That's OK. Now I have some more good images. But I keep hoping I'll get what I'm after. I think I will; it will just take some time and lots of experimenting.

Sumpin' like. I don't always understand everything she writes. I have too much on my mind anyway, and that doesn't help.

Great effect. I love the light-shadow play. I looks like a piece of linoleum had been cut up and artfully arranged in the right light

Very nice, Kim. The texture is gorgeous, and the colours are rich and warm. What I really love though, is your composition on this one. Excellent job!

Thanks...I changed the composition right before I rendered and I'm glad I did...this perspective is much more interesting.
