1 Wensy AKA ~sorrywasntlistening If I could make this space bigger than 3 blocks I totally would. Wensy is my life long bestest friend who kept pushing me to do photography. She even bought a lot of my early gear!!! And never asked for too many favours in return. I wouldn't be where I was if it wasn't for her. I also got into portrait photography by just photographing her. I am eternally grateful for her existence in my life.2 Clouds and sunsets and all that shit When I see that I feel creative and inspired. There's something about the open air that makes life feel like an infinite pool of possibilities.
3 Barry Lyndon 1975 film by Stanley Kubrick. Many years ago when I first saw this... I truly appreciated the art of photography. The camera would often start zoomed in on a scene and slowly zoom out while beautiful classical music was played in the background. Once zoomed out all the way the moving image would look exactly like an old painting from that period. Kubrick said he had studied a lot of paintings before filming.
4 Anton Corbijn As a kid I grew up watching a LOT of MTV.. The music videos that struck me the most visually were Depeche Mode's. Turns out many of them were directed by Anton Corbijn. Not only does this photographer share my nationality.. but we also happen to shoot in a similar. I've never really viewed his photography but it's clear that the old music videos had a distinct influence on me.
5 ICO Playstation 2 video game. Visually very strong. Whenever I do a shoot out in the sun influence is derived heavily from this game. This game still has the best art ever displayed in a video game.
6 Nana My love for cool chicks instantly grew exponentially.
7 Interesting looking people If it wasn't for all the awesome people out there I would be taking photos of cats and flowers. I very much enjoy portrait photography. I see people in a way unique to me. Sharing that vision with the rest of the world creates a feeling hard to describe. It makes my life meaningful.
8 Evangelion The melancholy in this superb anime inspired me to instil this flavour into my own works.
9 Life I have experienced much like many of you have. A myriad of feelings and moments. These stay with me forever.
This one was A LOT OF FUN TO DO
I suggest you all do one too... it'll be interesting to learn shit about each other this way.
It was really easy to do too.
