Wow, neat collection!
I only have two small pairs of deer antlers, and one small deer skull (with antlers, yay),
one sheep skull missing its jaw (which I found myself on the countryside when at holiday)
One cat skull (gotten from a friend)
and like two blowing horns, and one mug made out of horns.
Tough when I rob the school's collection... hehehe

You killed them yourself? XD
Or from Road kill? Taxidermist?

Mostly being in the right place at the right time. Some came from animals killed as 'pests' or accidental kills and occasionally I get them given to me in skull form.

my collection of sculls is fairly small i have one bird in witch i donβt know the species and a bunny
(they werenβt bought... I didnβt kill any animals ether mind you)
my friend wanted me name them and she named the bunny chippers and I named the bird sammy,
ones i want to add to my collation is cat, wolf/dog ,snake, fox/coyote and maybe bear and maby a goat or something with horns .. but since i only take the ones who are already dead il be happy with any other animals to add at the moment.

www.skullsunlimited.com , The Bone Room in Berkely CA, or Einstein's Emporium (online somewhwere)would be good places to start looking for a good clean deer skull.
Friends and neighbors who hunt for meat rather than throphys are great sources if you can clean it yourself.
I've also seen a fairly good selection on E-Bay

Those are so cool. I would collect them myself if I knew my parents wouldn't be freaked out by them. But I do have a coyote tail I bought at a Renessiance festival..

arg, I feel really sad whenever I pass coyote roadkills; I feel like I should stop and save something from them, but someone might call the cops if I'm cutting up coyotes by the side of the highway.

Most of them yup! The beaver I bought cleaned and whitened and the bobcat was given to me as-is.

*is jealous of your collection* I only have a deer jaw and a coyote skeleton. I used to have a pig skull, but It got run over by a tractor after I put it out in the sun to bleach it O_O

if you get another skull put it in a mix of baking soda and water, simmer it on the stove. dont boil!
it will clean and whiten the bone safely. dont ever use bleach, it degrades and breaks down the bone.

Alas, my mother is freaked out by my bone collecting, so there's no way she would have let me do that (it was my first choice). I opted to let the sun bleach it the natural way by leaving it out in our garden for the summer, but my aunt cut the corner too close with the tractor and squooshed it within a week!
Thanks for the tips, though

Mine was kind of nasty. XDD I put it behind our wood pile until the ants and beetles cleaned it off a bit, and then moved it right to our garden where there were less bugs, but more sun, so it would whiten a bit. My deer jaw is lovely and clean and white, though. I found it on the bank of creek that way

I love animal skulls. I own four myself. (Fox, deer with antlers, and 2 muskrats, one of the muskrats has a soft, doll like body) You have a very nice collection!

This is only the part of the collection small enough to fit in the shelf ;D I have more skulls and horns/antlers plus furs and hides. Nothing very valuable - mostly local animals.
