Photoshopped from a sketch for the first square for first page of the Mars story, and a technical experiment doodle done with watercolor (with some additional gum arabic), powdered viridian pigment, crayons and graphite on a scrap piece of arches cp (I'm planning to do this on hp which has no grain)Just to get some kind of impression of how it would look like.

One thing that you are very good at is use of colours, especially in creating a mood. The colours here are at the same time both calm and...maybe lonely? I don't know if that's right, but I'm not very good with words.

I'm seriously repeating myself here but you're getting me so damn well. Exactly, that was what I was going for. That he's floating there in peace and quiet but at the same time I thought it would be cool if I could convey a feeling of rather extreme loneliness and disconnectness from other people on the first page. Like a rare, precious specimen in a laboratory not meant to merge in the 'normal' world.
You got me so inspired with this that I'll go and stretch that paper right now.
