Description update on Xander "Project Zee". havin some issues bringing this model from modo to marmoset... it seems some random parts of the geometry are considered welded in marmoset.. so the smooth groups arent working on partslike that. (his hair on the side of his head)

looking into that problem now... I also need to redo some of the uv mapping as well :/

someone asked for more shots of the geo. ill be posting that very soon in scraps.

This is really well done!
I'm actually working on a mesh right now, and I'd love to have a similar rendering to this amazing piece. Could you point how how I can do that? The mesh is already UV mapped, but I'm lost and don't know what to do next... [link]

well my textures were hand painted in modo. but you can use 3dcoat. the painting in 3d coat is much better. painting in 3d is much easier then starting out in photoshop. after you have a rough idea of the colors and details in 3dcoat or modo you can do the detail in photoshop. then i rendered in marmoset. i used the sun as a back light, and added one or two softer lighters to light the front of the figure. i also used some bloom and god ray effects withing marmoset. good luck!

A lil question about modo, when i export .Obj it sais that complex modo texturing doesnt export.. is it bad or nevermind for game engines?

why thank ya! actually ive never run into a problem with it before.. the obj exports the uvs. which is all you need to load all your maps to. (diffuse, normal,spec)
