Butamon is a pig/boar/warthog. Level-headed, cautious, constantly trying to keep her partner from dying violently because he's a reckless shithead. Kabumon was supposed to have been a child form for Leomon, only this one was female and evolved into, idk, probably Leowomon or something (and is now completely irrelevant thanks to Leormon). Sujimon is an aardwolf who evolved into a bigger aardwolf that was totally not just a palette swap of Garurumon, u guize.

Headcanon infodump epilogue: At some point I made a half-assed attempt at reworking this, with a random group of people of varying ages (a few kids plus some adults). As things progressed it was supposed to become apparent that the younger members of the group had more success in prompting digivolution than the older ones. Someone also used some ancient piece of mid-'90s tech to make a crude prototype digivice. All of this influenced the Gennais when they got together to plan Take 2.

Then Tri came out and jossed all my ideas, which was fine because up until that point I'd forgotten all about this dumb bullshit, lmao.
