We chanced upon this shot through experimentation and a bit of dumb luck. Erving let me try my hand at a technique that involved catching the flash fired from another camera. Before attempting these shots, we had been taking pictures in a room with yellow light so I was using custom white balance, and I got this interesting color because I forgot to switch to auto WB.
