Description
"Tributes and virtual memorials had been numerous on the Net. After decades, one might have expected that the tributes would have disappeared with the old Net following the 2027 crash. However, tributes to the mysterious Kim had reappeared a few years after the crash, on the new Net. Holographic projections of his works appeared here and there on walls and shop windows, generally tributes from artists and anonymous people who had not forgotten the Korean artist despite the decades. Forgotten by the general public, his memory had remained alive on the Net. But in recent years, devices were hacked, projecting holo’s in the street via Public Security tools or on the facades of Corpo buildings. These were both tributes to the Master and some of his works.
Each time, passers-by, initially surprised, were ecstatic about the works projected. Even though there were many talented artists at the time, the style remained inimitable, the talent unequaled. Some had thrown AIs at the topic, imitating artists living and dead was a bad habit among some of the community. But more than with any other artist, the AIs had come up against the limits of their nature. Inimitable. Unequaled. If the general public had thus rediscovered the work of this artist, the memory of the man was maintained by a handful of artists, continually impressed and inspired by the legacy of the master. An international collective called “The Happiest Memorial”.“
