Battle RoyaleThis is something different than being on the same track as the SAA Forum. I've been reading alot of this recently. The film, I had watched quite a while back and I thought it was so cool. And the second film too.
It first started when a friend of mine picked up a Manga book when we were looking through them. It was the 4th Battle Royale manga book. I scanned it a thought O_O Woah...
I read it and didn't get the characters properly, or what the hell was going on, until I borrowed the film off someone. I got it and I started buying to manga books and Novel book...after ages of waiting for when I should or not. It's amazing how someone had come up with such a storyline! It worked!!
This picture here is of the characters in the Manga book. I liked the way they look here than in the film, as the film was changing alot of the storyline, what happens and people's appearances, but these got the description right on from the Novel book.
The charatcers here, are the three MAIN characters in the whole thing; from left to right - Shuuya Nanahara, Noriko Nakagawa, Shogo Kawada.
There are so many hot guys in the manga...and these are two of 'em...
Oh, okay, get back to the piccy. This is a part in the story where, after Shuuya waited for Noriko to get out of the building they were put in, he escaped to get away from ' probable attack ' from other students in their class. He helps with the gunshot wound to her leg and fights someone. They die and when he was about to get shot from behind, Shogo appears and blows the bad guys arm off, then shoots his intestines out with that weapon he's got...a Remington M32 Shotgun.
How lucky is that for his '' designated weapon!?!?! ''
But he has been through this thing before, and so with his experiance in fighting and killing, the other two, Shuuya and Noriko, are way safer with him than anyone else in this ' Program ' they were put in. He is kind of protecting them, which he doesn't care before, but he does after a while. ^_^ Heheh...

Yeah, the movie sucks ass compared to the books. Hopfully, If the Americans really are making their own version that it would have improvements and would be more true to the original.
Tis a shame since it's much better then that Naruto crap that everyone seems to love.
Oh well, I've taken a quick look at yuh gallery and I've just found works even better(And I thought that was impossible) So I'm gunna start watching you.

I heard the Americans were doing that, but I dunno of their progress, or if they have started it (seeing as though they were the country which didn't accept it being released, as it had too much violence against children). Oh yes, I think Naruto is a waste of time. It's a mix between all sorts of anime/manga but I've never gotten into it at any point. Too many people, too many hairstyles which don't look possible (hahaha).

They haven't started it, they need the rights for it but the director is dead and they couldn't think of asking Koushun Takami himself. I though that the Americans banned it because of government issues.
Naruto isn't good but it's not that bad either, but I like to seek out the mange/anime who have natural hair styles/colour xD.

gotta agree with you on the manga/novel part, movie definitely went way off track as far as characters and storyline. i almost prefer the manga to the novel because of all the extra stories they added.

haha yeah i've been pretty obsessed since i read the novel. it's kinda died down now but i still love it!
i know! in the film i didn't really cry too much, i was too disappointed to lol! but the novel and manga omg, so sad those two.

Teah, first thing I ad seen to do with the story was manga book 4. Had NO IDEA what was happening and was like 'Nooo!!! Get some help for that woman who's dying!!!' (Takako Chigusa) but I didn't know that was the whole point of the story, that evreryone was killing one another, until I watched the films, then read the novel while collectiong the mangas.
And true, it has died down but it still has a special place in my heart, lol.!!! XDDD

I'm doing a Mimura one, it is half finished and so is another one I had started and had nearly finished. But... it is when he's on the workgarage floor when Kiriyama runs in shooting and he kicks the bomb at him. ^_^

My brother...he said he liked it but now when I got an obsessive streak over it, he says he hates it because it has pointless violence. O_O He hasn't even read it! Only the 4th manga book and he didn't know what was up, and the film, which the story and how it came about had changed there too. >_<

my dad hated it too, he said the same thing its pointless violence and a stupid movie, waste of time. I was like WHAT!!! ;w;!! how can you say that about the greatest fucking movie/idea ever!! I mean come on think about it, if you had to kill everyone in your class...would YOU be able to do it? Actually, I'm careful enough to not show my dad. He has no idea I have this stuff. He saw me drawing the picture but it doesn't have killing in it...and he see's the title's of 'Battle Royale' manga books in my room but he doesn't read them. ^_^ So I get away with it...or he will take 'em out my room and burn 'em.
But yes, a very good question. Yu can never kill yur classmates BUT...if yu get put in a position where yu may just have to...that yu are being told they will kill yu to stay alive. That's the freaky thing and that's what makes everyone break; on pure fear. Except for Mitsuko Souma and Kazuo Kiriyama.
