Damn it Jim! Thats not Spock!haha this has a story to it!
I was Drawing a picture of Data in my art class and a kid in my class walks past and says "hey is that the guy from star Trek? you know *does vulcan hand sign*"
I go "No, hes from Sar Trek but he's not that guy!"
then another kid walks past, "Is that the guy from Star Trek?"
Me: *eye twitch*
Then again in biology, I got my sketch book out and started sketching a background for it. A girl in my class goes.
"Hey is that Spock?"
Me: Damn it is not Spock!
Then the idea to draw McCoy and Kirk just came to life!
No background because I'm lazy.
this is the first time I've drawn any TOS characters
Bones's pose was death to draw!

I have the inverse situation: my mates know Spock and the vulcan signal, but doesn't what's Star Trek! For them is just... IDK, popular culture, I guess

So I'm sitting in band, finishing up a picture of Spock. Now, granted, it's "as portrayed by Zachary Quinto", but it's obviously everyone's favourite Vulcan. This girl walks past me and is all, "Oh, is that the guy off of Star Wars?"
I just kinda stared at her for a minute... and said, "Uh, no, Star Trek."
The girl: "Oh, aren't they the same thing?" and she walked off.
