Yeah, this is indeed Christina. Why is she crying? Well, here's the story...

The one time I go out alone, the one thing that I thought would make my life the best thing ever....

It completely ends it.

I was out with a friend of mine, jut heading back from a movie. It was very quiet in the city of Metropolis. Too quiet...

"Christina, I think i'm gonna call for a ride. This doesn't look good" My old friend Anna the Fox told me.

"Go right ahead, I don't like how it's this quiet. It never is..." I said. Then, I heard someone call my name. "Anna, did you call me?"

"No, I didn't. Why?"

"Hmm... Never mind." I heard my name again, but it was coming from the back alley. My sapphire eyes looked twords it, and saw only darkness. "Anna, I'll be right back."

"Christina, I think we should stay together."

"I'll only be a minute." So, I walked into the alley. Since I'm a cat, I could see alright in the dark. At first, all I saw was trash cans and a latter that went up to the first apartment. Then, I saw what seemed to be another cat-like person.

"Did you call me?" I asked.

"Yes, yes I did." He said in a sinister voice. "My name's Lae. Could you come closer for a moment?"

"I gotta go..." I said. I turned around to run, but he was in front of me.

"Fatal mistake." He said. The next thing I know, I feel my arm in his extremely strong grasp, and a piercing pain. It felt as thought someone was ripping my arm off, tended by tended. I was about to scream, but he covered my mouth. He then threw me onto the ground, and said, "One down, one to go."

The attacker then transformed into, well, me and went down the alley. Anna... I thought, he's after the both of us.

I tried to get up, but the pain of the venom coursing through my veins was too much to bear.

The last thing I heard before I passed out was the bloodcurdling scream of my, now dead, best friend....

When I woke up, it was still dark, but the sun was about 4 hours away from rising. I saw a small puddle in the light of a post lamp, and looked into it. Then, I saw that my beautiful blue eyes were replaced with evil, sinister red ones. I can't go back home like this... I thought. So I ran away. I don't know how long I ran, but I ended up in a city, far away from Metropolis, called Station Square. It was night, exactly one week after I was bitten. I decided to sit behind a wall and cry. I couldn't bear this. I then heard the sound of shoes walking on pavement, coming closer and closer.

"You alright, girly?" the person asked. By the tome of the voice, I could tell this person was a boy, not much older than 15.

"I-I'm fine..." I stuttered out. I looked up at him and saw he was a green hedgehog, wearing a gray sweatshirt and black pants. But there was one stunning feature that blew me away.

His red eyes.

He must've known what I was, and hopefully he did, because I had no real clue.

"How old are you?" he asked, while sitting down next to me.

"15" I replied.

"How old are you really?"

"I just said, I'm 15 years old."

He must've seen the bite mark. He grabbed my arm, gently so he wouldn't scare me, and just looked at it.

"Hey, how long ago did you get this?" He asked me.

"About a week ago I got it..."

He then said, "Whats your name?"

"Christina the Cat..." I didn't really care that I was telling him all this. I was pretty much dead anyway.

"I'm Kamaco the Hedgehog," he stood up. "Come with me and we'll find you something to drink."

He extended his hand to me. I looked at it like I've never seen a hand before, but placed mine in his and he helped me stand up. From there, he picked me up, bridal style, and ran us off into the woods. That's where we ate, he told me what I was, and we told each other our stories on how we became vampires.

Over the next few days, I've been staying at Kamaco's house, going to his school, and he's been training me to control my powers. But, I keep asking myself, Why did Anna die? Why couldn't have I? Not to this day have I forgave myself for her death. If I hadn't have went into the alley, I'd be with my family and Anna's family wouldn't be ordering a casket....

Why me?
