Forgot to upload this. Why is there a pink tint? I dunno, anyways I made this a year or so ago because I loved this cutie so much when I watched le random first appearances video to get more into the Sonic community. She's so cute XDCream the Rabbit (c) SEGA

I attempted the Sonic X styled eyes. With all other OCs though, I just shade 3/4ths of their eyes and a lighter shade at bot. Te gusta?

My OCs heads are square-ish. True I did make more round than all my chars (and this as made before I created them all) Can you explain how you can tell their heads are moreΒ angled? The Power of Axe compels thee to explain! *THUNDER CLAP!!*

But yeah, as what Goatling has said in her replies concerning your anatomy skills, it's always important to get the structure of your character down first before you add on the details. If you don't want to ruin the paper in the process, don't press the pencil too hard, just let the tip slide across the surface, but make sure that you have a firm grip of your adorably small pencils, alright? No one wants to see their lines going out of control, after all.
If you don't get what I mean there, I have a couple of tutorials on how to draw anatomy right in my fav folders. That's only if you want them. ;D

I know you're the best at explaining things and helping people. Goatling let the power of Axe compel her to send tutorials and such about anata-mata-my. I should try to start on the atomy before the details, IΒ bought a new sketchbook today that I don't wanna mess up already. And I don't always use those small pencils... unless I'm using the small papers I ste-- I mean BORROW from my church |D My biggest problem has always been the fact that I press my pencil down too hard and then have to erase really bold lines :/
I'd really like to see those tutorials, I'll go check them out ;3

Here are the tutorials that I've promised you, my friend. c: [link] [link] There are a lot more of them out there, but I suggest that you have fun browsing through dA for anymore tutorials that you find rather simpler than what I and have explained.
And besides, it's through errors and mistakes that you improve, and sometimes you have to sacrifice a page or two to practise your anatomical skills. Have fun~

Dude, don't do all of them at the same time! D: You're going to give yourself a bad case of headache if this goes on any longer. Practise on one of them (anatomy, eyes, your secret character that I have no idea of) at a time, so that once you feel like you've gotten the hang of it, you can move on to the next one without having to cram all of that information into your little head.
That's basically how one prepares for the exams, of course. XD

I guess it is experience, you know, once you have understand anatomy and the skeleton's construction for a while you can tell several things about a person's drawings.
Some people get so skilled on this subject that they don't even need to sketch, they make a perfect anatomy out of the blue. I am not so skilled but I can tell when someone use a circle as base for the head or not. ^^

The top link is more into the subject of Sonic heads really helpful for me XD And oddly enough, head is round simply because I thought since she's a younger girl char she deserves a rounder head. I don't do that thing when you make the lines and circles for hands, legs and head. That must explain all the wonkiness you must be seeing (which I still can't tell in my OCΒ drawings XD)
